An amateur photographer from Aberdeen has captured this morning’s mesmerising total lunar eclipse.
Nick Bramhall took the pictures from Tullos around 7.30am this morning. The 26-year-old, who works for AMEC, is a keen astronomer and took several pictures of the first total lunar eclipse in three years.
It was also the first lunar eclipse to fall on the Winter Solstice – the shortest day of the year – in nearly 400 years.
