A North Berwick mother is celebrating after becoming the first Scottish female golfer to win a major championship.
Catriona Matthew won the women’s British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes at the weekend just 11 weeks after giving birth to her second child.
Following her win, Ms Matthew was confirmed in the European team to face America in the Solheim Cup, the ladies equivalent of the Ryder Cup.
The 39-year-old went into the final day's play in the lead and held off the field to win by three shots.

She told STV News: "It hasn’t sunk in. It has been a whirlwind since it all finished. It will take a few days for it all to settle in."
Her preparation for the event was hampered after she was caught up in a fire at a hotel hosting some players at the LPGA’s Evian Masters in France.
Ms Matthew added: “I had Sophie 11 weeks ago, then went last week to play my first event back and our hotel went on fire. We managed to just run out and save a few things.
"My husband burnt his foot. Luckily we were just on our own and we didn’t have the two children with us."
