A man and a woman are expected to appear in court today in connection with the death of a man in Rosyth.
The as yet unnamed man was found in the town's King Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers had previously described his death as "suspicious" and said that they were still looking for witnesses.
Detective Inspector Colin Beattie said: "Following an incident in Rosyth in the early hours of Sunday, January 3, I can advise that a man and a woman will be appearing from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 5 in connection with the death of a male.
"Inquiries are still continuing in connection with this incident and I would ask anyone who has information to come forward."
STV News understands that the man is expected to be charged with murder while the woman is expected to be accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
