A man has appeared in court charged with a series of muggings across Edinburgh's New Town.
Nicholas Wynne faces three charges of assault and robbery and one charge of assault with intent to rob.
The offences are all alleged to have taken place on January 6 and 7, in the city's Marchmont Crescent, Warrender Park Road, Middle Meadow Walk and Bristo Square.
The 21-year-year old was remanded in custody after a short appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Mr Wynne made no plea or declaration and his case was continued for further examination.
He is expected to reappear in court next week.
