Police are hunting a thief who attacked a pensioner in Edinburgh.
The 62-year-old woman was walking in the Craigmillar area when a youth tried to snatch her bag.
The woman hurt her shoulder struggling with her attacker, before he made off with her bag, mobile phone, cards and cash.
She needed hospital treatment following the attack in the Bingham to Craigmillar tunnel at around 8am on Friday morning.
Police are now looking to trace a pair of passersby who helped the woman after the attack.
A police spokesman said: "This is a despicable act of theft that not only left an elderly woman very distressed, but also with a painful injury.
"We would like the two men who approached the woman following the incident to come forward as they may be able to provide us with information as to the suspects movements.
"Similarly, anyone else with information that can help with our investigation should also contact immediately."
The suspect is described as around 15-years-old, 5'3" and slim, and was wearing a black hoodie. He was last seen running off towards the Bingham flats.
