A man is due to appear in court after allegedly attacking and robbing two elderly women in an affluent area of Edinburgh.
The 45-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with two assaults in the Grange area of the city where the two pensioners had their handbags stolen.
In the first incident, an 84-year-old woman was robbed of her handbag and groceries in Findhorn Place on Saturday March 12.
A few days later on Tuesday March 15, an 87-year-old woman was pushed over and her handbag stolen in Mansionhouse Road.
She had just got off the bus and was making her way home at the time of the incident.
The alleged thief is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
