The business secretary will visit Edinburgh next week to give a talk to local businesses.
Vince Cable MP is attending a special event held by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce on Monday April 18.
The Liberal Democrat politician will be talking about how the government plans to support and develop businesses in the UK.
A spokesman for the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce said: “Dr Cable is at the heart of the coalition’s policies for recovery and the growth of businesses & private sector employment.
“He will outline his department’s strategy for supporting and developing businesses, including a commitment to remove red tape, encourage entrepreneurship and support small enterprises.
“The Minister will also participate in an open Q&A session with us, so this is your chance to put your point to the man in charge of the business agenda at a critical time for our members and their businesses."
The event will be held at the George Hotel in Edinburgh at 5pm on Monday, tickets can be bought on the organisation’s website. They are £20 for members and £40 for non-members.
