Excitement is growing at Edinburgh Zoo ahead of the arrival of two giant pandas this weekend.
On Wednesday, two 14ft inflatable pandas appeared outside the attraction to mark their arrival. They caught the eye of Owen Gasowski, five, and Eva Gasowska, who helped the zoo celebrate the date.
Tian Tian and Yang Guang are being flown 5000 miles across the world from China to their new home in Scotland. They are due to arrive at Edinburgh Airport on Sunday in a specially charted FedEx plane, dubbed the Panda Express.
Although visitors will not be able to see the animals until December 16, places to see the animals are popular. It will not cost any extra but places are limited so customers will have to book a slot online.
The breeding pair was given to UK as "a gift from China" during a visit from the Vice Premier of China, Li Kegiang, in January and will live at the zoo under the "custodianship" of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
It is hoped the pair will breed with only 15,000 giant pandas left in the wild. Both the pandas were born in 2003. They will be housed in a refurbished enclosure that was formerly home to gorillas.
