Police have named three men killed in a car crash in West Lothian.
Lothian and Borders Police said on Monday that the victims were Gregor Crocker, of Main Street, Winchburgh, Alan Brown, of Coupar Angus and David Menzies, of Fingask Court, Perth. All were aged 25.
Arbroath FC striker Bryan Scott was a front seat passenger when a white 4x4 crashed in Threemiletown, near Linlithgow, at around 2.15am on Sunday February 1. He and another man were treated for minor injuries at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and have since been discharged.
Lothian and Borders police have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone who saw five men in their mid twenties in the Linlithgow area any time before the collision to get in touch.
The vehicle involved was a white Toyota 4x4 with red lettering on the side.
John McGlashan, manager of Arbroath FC, expressed his sadness at the tragedy.
He said: “I have spoken to Bryan and thankfully he is unhurt.
“However, our thoughts are with the families of the young men who died.”
A police spokesman said: "We are continuing with our investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident and are keen to speak to anyone with information that can help with our enquiries."
"Anyone who was in the Linlithgow area in or around the time of the crash and recognises the description of the men or the vehicle should come forward."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131.
