Video footage filmed by Bill Leadbitter
A viewer has contacted STV news with a report of an unidentified flying object spotted over the north of Glasgow on Wednesday night.
Bill Leadbitter from Springburn said that the object was clearly visible at just after 10.15pm and travelling north.
"We got the fright of our lives," he said.
"It was a cylindrical object, travelling fast and with flames visible, and moving silently."

He added that his whole family saw the object, as did other residents of the street.
Mr Leadbitter rejected the possibility that it could have been a firework, saying: "It was not a firework, you could tell by how far away it was and it was in the air too long.
"It was not an aeroplane as there were no navigation lights.
"It was travelling at a steep incline , at some speed, and was noiseless."
A spokesperson for Strathclyde Police said that they received no reports of UFOs in the area on Wednesday night.
