Body of missing walker, 75, found by rescue teams on Ben Cruachan in Argyll

Missing man: A RAF search and rescue helicopter was involved in the search.

The body of a 75-year-old man who went missing on Ben Cruachan in Argyll has been found by mountain rescue teams.

The alarm was raised at around 9.30pm on Saturday when the man became separated from other members of his party.

Police, mountain rescue and a Royal Navy helicopter conducted a search around the 1126m-high (3,694ft) Munro, near Loch Awe, until the early hours.

The man's body was found when the search resumed on Sunday morning.
