A would-be robber attempted to hold-up a shop in Glasgow with a toy gun.
The man demanded cash from Vivo Stores, on Maryhill Road at 6.40am on Tuesday, and when the shopkeeper refused to hand over the money, he fled empty-handed.
Strathclyde Police are keen to speak to any witnesses to the incident and are also checking CCTV cameras in the area.
Detective Sergeant John Semple, of Maryhill Police Office, said: "Thankfully the shopkeeper wasn't injured during the robbery; however he is naturally extremely shaken from the experience.
"Officers are currently carrying out local enquires and studying CCTV from in and around the local area.
"Maryhill Road is a very busy thoroughfare and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the suspect hanging around outside the shop prior to the robbery taking place, or indeed anyone who may have seen him running off afterwards."
The man has been described as about 5ft 10in, wearing a grey hat, black top and white trainers.
Witnesses have been urged to contact Strathclyde Police or Crimestoppers with any information.
