Firefighters tackled a major blaze at a derelict Renfrewshire hotel in one of a number of incidents across Scotland on Bonfire Night.
Teams from across the west of Scotland were called to the blaze, at the former Mount Royale Hotel in Linwood, at around 11.35pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said they had received several emergency calls about the fire.
Firefighters from Paisley and Johnstone initially attended before being backed up by colleagues from Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire in tackling the blaze.
Four of the firefighters managed to bring the fire under control after entering the building and stopped it from spreading from the hotel's rear annex to the main part of the hotel.
A spokesman said: "Firefighters remain at the scene to ensure all pockets of fire are fully extinguished. The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation."
The hotel had been used as a homeless hostel before shutting down in January.
In August, Renfrewshire Council chiefs backed a plan to bulldoze the building and replace it with a care home.

In total, Strathclyde firefighters received 548 calls between 4pm and midnight on Friday. Of those, they attended 232 bonfires, with officers ensuring that many of the others were supervised. A spokesman said there had been no other major incidents.
The figure was well down on the previous year, with 793 calls about 307 bonfires.
Assistant Chief Officer Lewis Ramsay, Strathclyde's director of community safety, said: "I'm pleased to see this big reduction in incidents.
"The weekend is not yet over, however, and we hope that tonight and tomorrow night sees a low level of bonfire and firework activity."
Elsewhere in the country damp weather ensured it was a quieter-than-expected night for firefighters.
In Fife, where a spokesman said there were just four bonfires and two rubbish fires on a "very quiet" night.
Tayside Fire and Rescue Service said its night had been "steady" but with no major incidents recorded.
The Central Scotland service said its officers attended 55 incidents, including bonfires and rubbish fires, but none of them was a major blaze.
Firefighters across the Highlands were called to 10 rubbish fires in the course of the evening, extinguishing one bonfire in Inverness.
The fire service in Dumfries and Galloway said it had attended 14 incidents on Friday evening.
