A woman has died after her car crashed into a loch, police have said.
The vehicle ended up in the water after coming off the A859 near Horsacleit Lodge on Harris at around 4pm on Thursday.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police, Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service and the Coastguard were all at the scene.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the Western Isles Hospital, where she later died.
A Northern Constabulary spokesman said her name would not be released until all her family have been told.
They have asked anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
