A man suffered from hypothermia after he was thrown into the River Clyde from a bridge in Glasgow.
The 24-year-old was thrown from the Broomielaw-Tradeston bridge in the city at around 7.45pm on Wednesday.
He had spoken to a group of men nearby before being thrown into the water by them.
Emergency services including police and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue attended, and the man was safely recovered from the water. He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for hypothermia.
Detective Constable Alan Cuthbert of Gorbals CID said: "This was a very frightening experience for the young man involved.
"We are continuing extensive enquiries into how he came be to into the water. However, it is believed that he was thrown into the water by at least two men who had been in his company earlier in the evening.
"We do know that there were several members of the public on the bridge at the time of incident and I would like to speak to them, as they may be able to help with our enquiries."
