A nurse is facing disciplinary proceedings over accusations that she posted comments about patients on a social networking site.
Fiona Ross was working as a nurse in the cardiology department of the Western Infirmary in Glasgow.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council will hold a hearing in Edinburgh over Ms Ross' conduct later this month.
She is accused of accessing the internet for "personal use" during her work on various dates between 2008 and 2009.
The council is claiming that the nurse’s fitness to practice was impaired when she "posted statements about patients on a social networking site, breaching patient confidentiality in doing so."
It is alleged by the council that Ms Ross, while working at the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde hospital, posted "derogatory statements" about staff and her employers on the internet.
The council’s conduct and competence panel will hear the case on several dates between February 20 and 29.
