A Rangers player has appeared in court accused of a sectarian breach of the peace.
Goalkeeper Grant Adam, 20, is alleged to have conducted himself in a disorderly manner by swearing, singing and chanting sectarian slogans in Ingram Street, Glasgow in the early hours of November 6.
The Rangers footballer, who denies the charge, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday. He spoke only to confirm his name.
The case, due to go to trial, was adjourned after legal discussions between the Crown and the defence.
Adam is on loan to Lanarkshire side Airdrie United, was released on bail and will now be tried in May.
He has been a member of the Ibrox club since leaving school. His older brother, ex-Rangers player Charlie, is currently a midfielder with Liverpool.
