A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a mobile phone and money from an eight-year-old girl.

The girl was robbed in Govanhill Park, Glasgow.

The incident happened last Wednesday, April 11.

Police said the girl was approached by a man who had been sitting on a red fitness ball, which are usually seen in gyms.

Strathclyde Police said they carried out inquiries in the area after the robbery and reviewed CCTV footage.

The teenager is expected to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court.
