Hibs fans will miss Scottish Cup final after being charged over brawl

Glasgow Sheriff Court: Four Hibs fans have appeared in court over a street brawl.

Four Hibs fans have appeared in court charged with being part of a street brawl which saw a man lose an ear.

Jamie Blance, 25, and David Low, 47, from Glasgow, James Clark, 26, from West Linton and Keith Manson, 40, from Edinburgh are all accused of being part of the incident outside Glasgow Central Station on March 10.

A trial was set for later this year at Glasgow Sheriff Court and each of the men were granted bail with the special condition that they do not go to any Hibs matches.

That means they will not be able to travel to Hampden Park on May 19 for the first Scottish Cup Final between Hibs and Hearts for 116 years.

It is alleged that acting with others at Central Station and Gordon Street, Glasgow, they behaved in a way that is likely to incite public disorder by engaging in behaviour that was threatening and formed part of a disorderly crowd which engaged in a stand up fight.

A man was taken to hospital as a result of the incident and a severed ear was found at the scene.

Five other men, Lee Duffy, Michael Imrie, Gerrard McCann, John McGeever and Neil Ramage appeared earlier in the week charged with the same offence.
