Football fans, players and clubs have all offered messages of support to Rangers, Scotland and Hearts legend Sandy Jardine after it emerged he is suffering from liver cancer.
The 63-year-old confirmed he had the condition at the weekend and First Minister Alex Salmond and former Celtic star John Hartson, who has fought his own battle against cancer, were among the first to wish him well.
Jardine played more than 500 games for Rangers during a 17-year spell at the club between 1965 to 1982, winning the UEFA Cup Winners Cup in 1972.
The defender later spent six years at Hearts before going on to manage the Edinburgh club.
Jardine won 38 caps for Scotland during his career, including all three matches in the 1974 World Cup finals.
In recent months, he has been at the front of fan protests during a tumultuous period for Rangers. The right-back led a march to Hampden stadium in April after the SFA imposed a transfer ban on the club.

The former defender has thanked everyone for their support.
