On Tuesday December 6 at Hampden Park Glasgow Girls FC were awarded the SFA's "Community" award which is the gold award.
Glasgow Girls FC are the first Glasgow club to be awarded the “SFA Community Quality Mark” from boys, girls, adults and senior teams.
It has taken the club three years to get to the highest standard from when we were awarded the "Standard" award then last year the "Development" award.
Stewart Regan, chief executive of the SFA, presented the award and thanked all the club staff & players for all their hard work and said we are at a level where clubs going through the quality mark process should aspire to reach.
As an SFA community club we were also presented with an SFA Community Club flag which should be flown from your premises.
We are now in discussion with Glasgow City Council for this to happen at Greenfield before we move to our own facility.
Glasgow Girls FC are now recruiting for the new girls football season which starts in 2012 for teams at under 9s, 11s, 13s, 15s, 17s, and Woman’s team, anyone interested can apply online through our website www.glasgowgirlsfc.com
We would like to thank all the coaches, volunteers and players for all their help in getting the club to this standard.
