Young people in Motherwell have the opportunity to make a difference and stand for election to the Scottish Youth Parliament in March.
The Scottish Youth Parliament, which campaigns on voting at 16, alcohol and tobacco, the discrimination of young people and tackling the negative portrayal of them in the media, is looking for volunteers to stand in the election which takes place March 14 to March 20.
Elected members work with young people in the area and represent their views locally and nationally, helping to change and address the issues they face growing up.
If elected, candidates serve for two years and attend the sittings which happen three times a year across Scotland.
For more information or to speak to someone about standing, please contact Ronnie Crichton at ronnie.crichton@yls.org.uk call 01698 452358 or go to the Scottish Youth Parliament website.
